I lied! One more Newp... Toned and Semi-PL 1885-O Morgan Dollar... Grade Revealed...

Ok, so after posting my last three newps, which I got on the weekend, I thought I was done, and then forgot that I got this coin on eBay last weekend So, out came the photography equipment again to take its picture (as I promised the seller I'd do ).

This is an extremely original coin, with a very thick skin. The obverse lustre is a bit muted because of it, but there is more lustre than the picture shows. The reverse also has a thick skin, and its surfaces are more semi-PL than the obverse, and the color really glows, making this a very vibrant popalicious coin (I invented the word popalicious). Top it off with some frost on the devices, and you've got a very original, flashy toned coin... mmmm

Now, with how my posts have been going today, what would it be if I didn't say... guess the grade! PCGS green-label holdered

You're all lowballing this one What I think the problem is is that some breaks in the skin look like real hits... it's almost like a DMPL morgan. The coin is holdered as a 65, and I agree with the grade... in hand, it's easier to differentiate what's actually a hit, and what's a color change.

Nice eye-appeal and best of reverse color-- Yep a lock 65 with nice cheek. That blue is almost unique to 85O's with prooflike surfaces.
