Check for 73-D DDO's and 74-D DDO's. Look in the WE TRUST part.

Look for 87 P and D's as they were only issued in mint and souvenier sets!

My bank has lots of JFKs now. I just took $150 in Kennedy halves (and $50 in Ikes) to the bank yesterday. Part of my in-laws' "coin collection" that they asked me to evaluate and sell. Didn't bother looking at them, other than to determine they weren't silver or silver-clad. The silver stuff is going on Ebay over the weekend.
  • Last time I did that ($100) in halves... I found 25 40%silver ones. I was happy!!!
  • Thanks, I will start looking for those as well. They seem to have a ton of halves at the bank near my work, then I take them from there and turn them into my credit union since they didnt have any. So that way I wont have to recheck rolls that I have allready checked.

Oh, trust me, you will eventually see the same halves. Kind of like visiting old friends.

Haha even if I take them to my credit union which is a different bank from where I picked them up?
But in Case I did happen to mark a J in blue ink to tell which ones I sorted through....Hope that helps me a lil

You did WHAT with the IKE'S?? image

I would have given a little something more than face plus shipping........

Turn on your PM, I'd like to take the 89-D's off your hands.

The 1989-D roll is worth something. I want it and would be willing to pay you for it.
  • I went to the bank and got $100 in halves to look through. The only thing I found was that 9 of the rolls only had 19 coins inside and the bank would not make it good.

Nice doubled dies are also to be found on the obverses of the 1971, 1972, and 1977-D halves. And you don't have to settle for just the listed varieties, on any coin you can just take a quick look at all of the serifs on IN GOD WE TRUST. The nice thing about Kennedies is that with the legends so large, the doubling will jump right out at you.
