What Hall of Famers do you think are the most undervalued?

Here's my list:

Spahn
Banks
Aparicio
F. Robinson
Aaron (yes, Aaron).
Ron Burgundy

Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items

Comments

  • Banks, Kaline, Killebrew, F.Robinson. For the value of their cards compared to other HOFers with less stats, these stand out to me.

Id say Willie McCovey, Killebrew, Lou Brock, Hoyt Wilhelm to name a few.
  • Without question Hank Aaron.
  • Hockey: Michel Goulet and Peter Stastny, I guess because they played in Quebec for the majority of their careers

    Definitely Frank Robinson.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  • Speaking to the 50s and 60s... I think a case can be made for anyone not named Williams, Mantle and Clemente, and who wasn't a Yankee, Red Sox, or Dodger.

Spahn, Musial and F. Robinson top my list.
  • Pretty much every football HOFer is a bargain, compared to their BB counterparts, with the exception of Bronko Nagurski. Many times I've found minor HOFers in dealers' common boxes simply because they had no idea who they were. Talk about no respect!

IMO, in general, the HOF pitcher cards are no where valued where they should be.

Sometimes they go up near enshrinement but then seem to level and decline.

E.g. the Ryan RC - went thru the roof and then declined - there are other factors but all and all the pitchers don't do any where near what the sluggers do.

Small market contemporaries. Guys like Yount, Molitor, Eck and even Brett.
