Double struck reverse large cent at auction

If you're looking for a strange large cent error, I've got this 1798 large cent with a double struck reverse listed on Heritage...link. The description writer first added "Double struck reverse in title" to the end of the description (this must have been a direction to him/her), then when attention was called to it, omitted the double-struck designation all together. Not in great condition, but somewhat of a rarity. If you're interested, any bidding would be helpful.

How can just the reverse be double struck, where was the obverse at the time..??

This was explained to me once by Conder101, but I can't remember what he said. Maybe it was stuck on one side of the die and the other part rotated on the second strike? It's easiet to see at the O in "ONE CENT" on the reverse.
