1964d Lincoln Head Cent Rolls

I just noticed that my dad purchased 2 rolls (still in Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Oklahoma Branch) original wrappers.

Are these anything special?

  • Not particularly. Sorry, probably too many of those were saved back then.

EBay was the closest thing I could find to a price structure and rolls of 63 listed at $3.25 aren't getting any bidders. A set of 6 rolls from 59 through 64 sold for $9.99 a week ago and the 64's would be the least valuable of the lot.

Perhaps a buck or a buck and a quarter each if you could find a buyer. Shipping would be more than they are worth.

Put them away for your grandkids/greatgrandkids. In another 60 years they should have some value. image
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."
