Dad I need a Sacagawea!

So my son tells me this morning as we are walking out the door. As it turns out e has lost his. So I go to the bat cave and pull a 2004 clad proof set and say, "don't lose this". Seems they are studing money in school. He was very happy to discover that the penny, nickel, dime, all five quarters, the half, and the sac are in there. Now lets see what the condition is when it comes home, if it comes home.

I actually got a sac in change recently... I was shocked that anyone uses them (this was a newsstand at NY Penn Station, not a vending machine).

Good luck to your set image

Thanks for the nod. Not alot invested in a clad proof set but its the principle. I spent two sacs the other day and woman behind the counter told me that it is Chic filet policy not to accpet foriegn money! And then when I told her that was a US coin she asked me for 6 more cents for my ice cream cone. I told her those are worth a dollar. She was amazed! Then asked if they were gold. I almost told her yes.

I used 12 Sacs/SBAs to buy my LIRR ticket to Penn Station yesterday. The vending machines for the LIRR both accept them and give them as change; so I'm not surprised that the local vendors have them.

Cool I used to ride the LIRR from Port Washington to Penn back in 98. Wow those were the days!

Not much invested may be true, but I think the 2004 clad proof sets are still going for ~$60 on ebay.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

He is a good egg. He was going to turn it in to the teacher (she is a hottie) to keep until time to look at it.
