Ever dip a coin, submit it and have it come back "PVC Residual"
I wonder if there is some kind of light these grading companies use to see if there is active PVC on a coin.... I dipped a coin, sent it in and it came back PVC. There's no part on the coin that it "ate" through either...... just looks very hazy....
Have you ever had this happen to you?

"Dipping" is usuing something like eZest to clean a coin, which is an acid... eZest also does nto remove PVC residue. Acetone is used to remove PVC residute

So, You did use Acetone? Was my ASSumption correct?
Acetone should have removed the PVC, BUT, if you did not rinse thoroughly in clean Acetone you might have coated the surface of the coin again when you removed it from the Acetone bath.
Best to use several containers and rinse in each consecutively to make sure it's all off
The coin probably hazed over in transite to the TPG.
I guess your a newbie here. Dipping is the use of a mild acid to remove silver oxides (aka toning) from a coin. Acetone is not a dip.
