Okay I'll answer the question. 1916 P is what I think you are asking about and its worth about 40 bucks or less. Probably closer to 30.

The coin itself isn't worth too much, maybe $10-20. But the plastic, on the other hand, is what really counts.....image

Our reputation as being the civil forum is being jeopardized by this? Let's not let a question such as this unnerve us.

    Dimitri.

Heck that looks like a nice coin. Personally I would not care what the grade is. It looks nice and thats good enough for me.

    MS65FB. Nice coin.

Now that jester put a grade on it I will tell you why I did not.

Mercs are a series where light slide marks play a big role with grade. You can have a great looking coin that has just a few slide marks and it will not go any higher than 65 and more than likely only 64 at PCGS. So by looking at only the picture I could not tell if the coin has any light slide marks. If it does not the coin is a easy 65FB and probably a shot 66 coin. If it has slide marks its a 64 at best.

My expertise with lightside stuff...image Now you guys keep teaching me about the DarkSide....image

    Cheers.

I nearly said MS65FB at least. Because it looks even nicer. Definitely it's impossible to judge from a picture.

I really like Mercury dimes, as well as Buffalo nickels, Standing Liberty quarters, Walking Liberty half dollars, and the incuse gold designs as well as Indian eagles and St. Gaudens double eagles. Why oh why can't we make coins like that anymore??
