When you have a submission at PCGS......

How many times a day do you check on it via their online feature? I am totally obsessed and will not say ..........

Several times a day until it is logged in, then several times a day after that. image

Honestly, if it is not close to the due date, I check in maybe once or twice a week. Once the due date is approaching, I'll check several times a day.

You can also PM your submission number to MadMarty, and he'll add it to the not-so-secret submission tracking page. More than once I've had another board member PM me that I had grades even before I'd checked or received the email from PCGS (not gonna name any names here image ).

They will notify you by email when the coins are graded and again when the coins are shipped.

Actually I don't check at all unless it seems that it's way late.

I'm sure it's just an urbane legend that they are more likely to assign the lower grade to a tweener if you have checked the status a lot. So don't even worry about that.

Starting a couple of days before it is due... about six to ten times.
    When in doubt, don't.

I can't help it. I check it several times a day. Yesterday was it's first day in the system and I still can't help it. It must be some kind of an OCD thing!

I rarely ever check. Sometimes coins just show up in the mail and I'm surprised.

I've been known to check on better submissions upwards of 10x a day, but I am completely out of my mind.

I sent in my first submission a couple weeks ago for a 15 day turnaround although my "Status Check" keeps telling me
that my submission is a 45 DAY SUBMISSION!? Anyhow, I've got a hoard of 2005 Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver
proofs that I'm just dying to get back before Christmas. And now they've decided to post another black out period!
    I NEED THOSE COINS! AARRRRGGHHHH!

Does PCGS ever grade submissions earlier than the "LEVEL" you send them in for?

huh ? You can check on submissions image ?

I always wait for the postman image
    ... now really :
I check after receiving notice that PCGS received my shipment. Then about two weeks later. If nothing then, I check my pulse and look for my meds image (just kidding)

That 45 day Economy Service notice on the order status page is just a default that pops up. It has nothing to do with the service you sent in. Your Regular Service(15 day) submission could take lots longer.

My latest submission has now been in for 5 days, so I did a check for a miracle today and will try it each day from here on out. And yes.... you can get your grades in less time than the service level. My last 15 day submission results was posted at day 12.

Twice -- Once when I get home from work (about 3:30 CA Time) and once later (after 6 CA time).
I have two shipped this week and no e-mails.

I track my coins via USPS website to see when they are delivered, as I don't always get e-mails from my friends in Newport CA. After that I check 3-4 times a day till I get discusted and give up for a few days, at which time I find they were shipped 2 days ago.
