SMR Too High?

I won this Snider the other night for $202.59 which is about 55% of SMR. I know the centering is not great but it's not that bad either. I'm hoping it's even better than what the scan portrays. I was really surprised to get it for that price Two more to go!

Scott

my 5 was about 150.00 2 years ago. maybe 3. Averaged out within a deal.......

your 6 may have sharper corners but because of the centering it was graded a 6?

still for 200.00 I think it was a decent deal. Hi number (last card) of a HOF.......................
    Good for you.

Lamont - if this was the scan used for the auction, the low hammer price was due to poor selling. Congrats.image

i agree somewhat with mark, however a true ex/mnt card sold the week before for 270.00 with much nicer centering.

That is the card. I agree that the poor scan resulted in the low hammer price. He even apologizes for it in his item desription:

THE CARDS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THE POOR QUALITY FROM THE CAMERA

This is the same seller who I won a PSA 6 Freese from for $28.50 after I lost out on one from another seller 30 minutes before that closed for over $60 (my high bid was $55). The guy has sold a ton of graded 55's recently, some at really good prices for the buyer. My question is if you know you are going to be selling a large number of cards wouldn't it be worth it to buy a decent scanner to get the most for your auctions? Of course I don't know his financial situation or time constraints but it seems logical to me. Oh well, good for the 55 collectors I guess.
