It could go 65, is that a hit on the wrist...?

Just a touch away from 66. MS 65 is my guess...Mike

I'm guessing that without such large magnification, the flaws are not nearly as noticeable - MS66.

MS64. The hits on the sun limit it.

Great pic BTW. What kind of camera do you use?

Regardless of the assigned grade for this particular coin, the images are LARGE and I have seen marks like that on the sun, even on MS67 examples.

Magnification that much can make almost any nice/decent coin look bad. The hits on the obverse don't bother me, but what appears to be a scrape across the eagle's breast and another mash point in the wing area are not something I would expect on a 65 or 66. No guess here.

My own thoughts, 64, Hit on the wrist and sun (obverse), Hit to the right of eagles forward breast feathers........Rick

By the by,,,,,,,,,,,I have a 38 that I believe looks better than your 40 and it came back a 63.............

Hits like that on a 67? I wouldn't be too thrilled with that. I respect your knowledge greatly, Mark, and agree with your point about the large photos, but the hits on the sun aren't my only concern with that coin going gem+. There are hits on the wrist, in the skirt lines a rim nick at 5 o'clock and some pretty respectable luster grazes on the eagle's feathers. Taken together, with the hits on the sun being the most glaring, I can't see much more than a 4 on that coin.

It's in 65 plastic. I think it's pretty fair. As coinguy suggested, big pictures bring out all of the flaws. Most of those hits are hard to see without magnification.
