The Huskers were cobs yesterday

It was awful. After all the exptectations and signs of improvement, the defense especially looked like the bad news boys of the Solich era. They made Brad Smith look like a Heisman winner. He had a Heisman day, why not? To me, the new coaching staff still has not learned how to defend Big 12 qb run oriented offenses. They are mostly big 10 guys and it shows sometimes. Just awful. imageimageimage

I didn't see the game, but losing to Gary Pinkel's Missouri Tigers is most assuredly not a good thing. I guess that was the game that people have been expecting from Smith for, like, two years now.

No kidding. Smith had 480 yards of total offense, just himself!!! Rused for 246 and threw for 234! He's either really good or the blackshirt defense is pretty bad or maybe a combination of the 2. imageimage

Probably a combination of the two. I'm not really a Mizzou fan, but Smith really is pretty good. Playing for that program, though, has just wrecked what could have been a very good college career. Most fans would probably say that Vince Young is the quarterback that Brad Smith was supposed to be.

Huskers sucked eggs in Columbia. Better rebound this week against boomer later.
