In the process of getting another endroll toner

This will probably be the last one I buy for a while unless I happen to find another endroller I can't live without.image
I have been on quite a buying spree lately and I think I have spent enough money for a while. I was able to track this MS-65FBL 1950 down by sending an email to an ebay seller that I had bought one of my other endroll toners
from. He said he had two but I only needed one of the dates he had. This one set me back the most I have ever spent on a coin but I think it will be well worth it. This one cost me $200 but I figured what the heck. You only live
once. I also figured it might be a long time before I get the opportunity to pick up another 1950 endroll toner and that was something I just didn't want to happen. Well here it is.image

The seller says it has green and red toning. I will get some better pics when I get it. So what do you think? Was I crazy to pay that much for it?image

The images do look a little dark, so it might be somewhat more colorful than it appears. I like it. Looks pretty clean. image

Hey, I am not going to dip it after I paid a premium for that toning. If I wanted a bland white one I would have bought one.image

The obverse is sure clean for a 65. I imagine it will look much more colorful in hand.

Looks Great to me !! When I fall in love with a Franklin , i don't really worry about the cost........my wife sure doe's though !!image

I sold the '50-P from my set to Larry Sheppard for 450$ , it was in a PCGS 65 FBL holder ........was a hilite of my set - full blown monster rainbow of the highest water

. I reckon he got more then a grand for it.

200$ is not too much ; but me , .i'd like the tone on the obverse !!

Nice Coin! 1950 is a really tough date to find attractively toned. As you probably already no, there were no double mint sets issued that year, so a toned 50 is a tough bird. The obverse on your new coin looks pretty clean for todays 65's, especially the prome focal areas, so I'd have to say you did well spending 200.00. The reverse looks promising. I have a number of pieces where the color is on the reverse. Although I much prefer the obverse to have the nice color, I would have a hard time parting with my reverse toned pieces. They are just too nice, and unique. I can see the endroll pattern fairly well in your pic. Please post some more images when you get iy in hand. I'd have to say you did real well.image

I agree with both of you, Daniel and Mike. I would prefer the toning on the obverse but I would much rather have this one then passing on it and not being able to find another endroller for the date. I figure I can always buy another
of the same date if I come upon one that is obverse toned.image

I like it Kiddy-o! And I look forward to more images of it.

Endroll toned Franklins are a very tough find, and even tougher slab'd....

In all my travels and Franklin hunting, you just don't find very many....
