Dansco 7460: Swiss Confederation type-UPDATED

Scans of the first and last page that are complete. Still working on the 2nd and 3rd page, 5 more coins to go to complete it plus one or two upgrades.


obverse 1rst page, almost all coins are unc/bu,especially the bronze
only the 1918 brass 10 rp is a dirty VF that needs an upgrade.

I still need 2 Seated Helvetia 5 francs (1850-51 and 1874) and one 1888-1916 type, as well as a Seated half franc and 1 franc. The latter I have it slabbed ,a superb red toned 1850 PCGS MS66 from Mac, but for the album I'm looking for something much more affordable, possibly a toned XF-AU like my 2 francs of the same date,or a low end affordable MS.

For some reason this album gives me immense pleasure to play with, maybe the fact that I lived in Switzerland between 1979 and 1981 has something to do with it.

The "oe" combo is normal, although there are a good number of true double-die Swiss and severe recutting of letters, etc. However, they generally don't bring a big premium.

I was lucky to get this one from TT last night. Many thanks to a forum member whose help was invaluable.

It will undoubtedly be the centerpiece of the album, deslabbed from its NGC MS63 holder.




The price was more than right too.
