Slowly but sure.

I saw this;

And i thought, now that looks like Minerva to me, the shield made me think that. So i bought it. Of course when i got it home i took a closer look and that's when i saw the owl at her feet and i thought how did i miss that big clue there? I would have been even quicker at buying it if i'd seen that!
And thus i looked it up in the book and it is Minerva! Yayy!
That's another one to my Gods collection, Jupiter and Minerva, looks like i'm starting at the top. Must keep a look out for Juno now then.
Oh by the way it's a Domitian.

<< <i>I have two coins from that emperor, Domitian was the last of the Twelve Caesars by the way. I assume Simon that you have read Suetonius? >>
I do have Suetonius but i haven't read it all. Although i have skim read Domitian.
He wasn't the worst of the Emperors not by a long way. I admire his devotion to the old religio, he really did like Minerva. Hence why she appears on so many of his coins.
The real fault with Domitian was that he thought everyone hated him and everyone was out to get him, kinda like that member of CU who...
Domitian's fear led him to pre-empitive strike tactics, which lead to further paranoia which led to more cruel attemps to eliminate anyone who he grew suspicious of, which ultimately led to his downfall.
I like how Vespasian warned Domitian to take more notice of blades and less of mushrooms.
