Label vs. Sharpie . . .

Did I hear someone on this board simply uses a Sharpie - rather than the preferred labels - to indicate submission and line numbers on Card Savers?

If so, has anybody else tried this? Good/bad idea? Sure would save time.

  • I just sent in two submissions totaling almost 200 cards and I'll tell you what saved me a bunch of time. I had several sheets of 1 x 2 5/8 blank address labels. I simply downloaded a template for the labels in MS Word, copy and pasted the submission number to every label, and typed in the line number. Had 'em all printed out on my laser printer in less than five minutes from start to finish.

It's a real time saver, plus it's a lot easier for the folks at PSA to read than my chicken scratch.

  • So you put one of these slips with each card in a sleeve (Card Saver) for submission. Do you also provide a complete submission list?

Per the packing instructions on PSA's website, I put the sticker on the back of the Card Saver I.

Yep. You pretty much have to in order to send the cards in. For larger submissions, I use a modified HTML or Word document with added item lines
