Weekend Swap (a little early)

WTB: 1847 Liberian cent.

I just discovered one of my new bosses is Liberian, and a coin collector, to boot. He told me he didn't collect their modern commems, though. He did say he is looking for a decent 1847 Liberian cent (he has one, but it is in sorry shape).

I've always liked these coins, myself. But without my 19th C. Krause handy, I'm unfamiliar with prices. What do they go for? I suppose I could always check fleabay.

Lemme know if you have one.

I don't have one, but I'm temporarily hijacking your SSP mylord:

A very nice Swiss 1861B 1 franc PCGS MS65 is on ebay for the next 7 hours.

Real bargain level currently, at a third of its sale price in Heritage, for a very popular type coin and quite rare in gem condition. Old green label holder. One more PCGS MS67 silver franc currently for sale at indecent levels.

    Thanks,back to you Rob. image

For those who weren't around, Rob edited the title of his own WTB - SSP thread to weekend swap due to some unexpected hijacking.

The above coin is now sold, thanks to all the bidders and Rob. image

    A late add:

Elizabeth II 1953 proof set. The case is a better one, but hollowed out to allow for the coins to be stored in a nicely designed hard plastic housing. The coins themselves are in outstanding condition. I feel this is the best set I have ever "handled."

$150 postpaid in the US (small shipping charge elsewhere).
