If you zoom into St. Paul you'll see yourself behind envoy. (Zooming tools are on the left hand side of the map)

Oh hey.. could you take a walk to Canada Customs since you're so close and kick them in the nuts for me? They've been sitting on some things of mine coming through from the States for quite some time now. image

  • Knuckles, check this out... LINK. If you ski, of course Whistler is nearby, or there are 3 smaller ski-hills within 30 mins of downtown. White Rock's beautiful ( image ) but better seen in the summer.
  • Actually, I've got a mailbox across the line in Blaine, WA. Saves me a ton on Customs searching my mail... border guards don't give a crap about a few cards.

Nice setup! My wife and I were thinking about moving to Victoria within the next 3 years or so but maybe we should consider White Rock. image

    Thanks for the link.

  • Man! that is deep... I can actually zoom in and see my house and car!

Hey phreaky - White Rock is cool. Lots of good resturants. There's even a white rock there.

rlankhaar is right inbetween us in Lynden. I think everyone in Lynden is Dutch but I'm not sure.

Also, remember Knuckles that the igloo you live in will surely melt if you try to move it down south here. image

Hrm, you're right. My pet penguin and polar bear wouldn't like that one bit. image

edited to add.. but maybe they would like a pool.. I see quite a few in White Rock.
    image
  • Yeah wolfbear, almost everyone in Lynden is Dutch.

I'll second the recommendation of WhiteRock - its a pretty fun place to spend the day, and there are some really good restaurants there. Of course, you absolutely need to check out the weekend night cruisin scene on the waterfront...image

Yup, although it's not *naturally* white anymore... it used to be white from seabird guano, but now the city just paints it white to cover up all the graffiti image

    Whew, 118 members so far.

It's unreal how many Easterners there are compared to Westerners. This was the same sort of trend on the Beckett board..

If anyone is planning on opening a card shop stay the hel| out of Canada and open one in the Eastern US image

Moving to Victoria, Knuckles? Great choice. We intend to retire to the Island one day. Are you relocating because of work commitments or just for a change of scenery (not to mention warmer winters)?

    All of the above.

To get away from the cold and be by the water.. it would be nice. I also think my business would do better there. I think the Vancouver/Victoria area would be a lot more 'technically inclined' for lack of better words.. than here in Alberta. (I'm a web/graphic designer)
