First Submission Results...

Hi all,

Here are the results of my first submission. Overall, I am very happy. The Bird rookie is a super
nice 8. I am also very new to the board. You folks sure post some awesome subjects here and
thanks for all the helpful information.

I just returned to the hobby after a 10 year break. Prices are nothing like the early
1990s. If you are interested in any of the cards below, drop me an e-mail with
your price.

Welcome to the boards and congrats on some good grades. A true Dodger fan would have a lot more cards like: Sax, Valenzuela, Garvey, etc.... image Go Dodgers!

Wow! After being out of the hobby for so long, you sure haven't lost your sight of a good card when you see one!

Looking at those grades you sure look like a pro.

    Welcome!

    Thanks Jeff.

Man, I examined the cards quite a bit before submission and had a lot of fun doing in. That's
what brings me back to the hobby. I now collect mostly worthless junk.

I still recall my first pack break in 1978 (Van Nuys, Ca). Glory days indeed and just
    great memories.

Congrats on the grades Tom! You did well for your first submission. The 82' Topps Ripken is hard to find centered 50/50. Ive got three of them and 1 is 60/40, the other two 70/30. Anyhow, Welcome to the boards!!!image

welcome aboard and nice modern submissions.

wish at least 1 of those clemens would've gotten a 10, so many 9's huh?

i have a rather large modern submission building, so i hope to get some grades similar to yours.

  • Tom,

Did you have these cards stashed away since the 90's? Just curious. Way to go on keeping them if so.

    Damien,

I really got into card collecting in the early 1980s and that's where the cards came from. I stashed
them away in 1994 with grad school. I still have a number of Ripkens to grade. Yes, I do have several
of the topps traded. Man, thank mom for not trashing them.

    Welcome,

Are going to be collecting anything specific?

Would be interested in one of the 84 Mattingly PSA 9 and Ryan 9. I think I already sent you an e-mail though?

    Stingray,

    I didn't get your e-mail. Please e-mail me at lootom@hotmail.com for details.

I am not collecting anything specific except 1978 LA Dodgers PSA 9. Something
    I can manage and afford.

    Thanks,

    Tom
