Home Sports Talk

A Third of the way through the NFL season

and the Bucs and Colts are clearly the two best teams in the NFL. I see much pretending going on. Here are some:

Patsies: They are done, blame it on who they have lost, that doesn't matter, payback is a *itch
Pitt: Not as tough without a QB..see patsies entry
Cowgirls: We all know that Drew is a pansy. Tuna is overrated
Sheagles: The new doormat of the NFC
Vikes: This team is pretending to suck, but inside they know they are only one game behind and their back up is Brad Johnson
Falcons: Sorry, but the refs bailed them out BIG TIME this week...New Orleans aint that good. Vick is broken down and hasn't played the bucs yet!

There has been much smack here....most of it coming from guys whose teams have 1 or 2 wins. If you choose to go under the bed
for a month, that is ok....say hi to Gemmy for me, and Ill look forward to seeing you in week 12 when you beat the Browns or Niners
and claim that your team is back

The Caddy is on its way to Detroit...It aint too late to jump in......but I got shotgun!

Will you be saying the same thing about your Bucs in 2 weeks? We shall see...

    Joe-

The more you post, the more you run your ignorant mouth, the more you make bucs fans everywhere cringe.

Please, please, please add me to the list.

    Post it five times.

Let's make sure everyone knows that I believe the Bucs will not make the playoffs.

Blame it all on my wife. She asked me last night what happened to Griese. At that moment ESPN said it was a sprain.

She says "somebody needs to break his leg."

    God I love her.

  • Typical Joe,
He doesnt come out and run his mouth when the Bucs lose, but then right after they win, here he is yapping it up. If anyone is under the bed... it is you when the Bucs lost...lol.
  • And just a few numbers for you Joe:

Combined record of teams the Bucs have played : 11-21
Combined record of teams the Pats have played : 20-14

Dont worry Joe, you might make the playoffs.. considering you play 3 or 4 teams all season with winning records...lol... talk about a cupcake schedule.

    Oh and BTW

    Ring count
    Pats 3
    Bucs 1

  • joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
ahhh suddenly strength of schedule means something huh?? I love, it didn't last year when the bucs were playing all the playoff
teams, but not when your teams suck *ss, its because they have played all great teams.

Cowgirl fan needs to check themselves, they lost to one of the worst teams in the league!! Please lets not pretend that beating
Philly is impressive..just cause you usually lie down against them, and didn't this year, does mean squat..we all know that Philly
    is not a good team!

Griese is a tough loss for us, sure but defense wins championships..take note! Once Caddy is back we will just be handing it off
and running 9 minute scoring drives.

I expected more from this group, but then again, with all the Sheagle, Cowgirl, and Patsie fans here, I would be embarrassed to
    show my face too!

Time to polish up the ring cabinet!

    JS
  • Cowgirl fan needs to check themselves, they lost to one of the worst teams in the league!!

The Jets turned the ball over 3 times and STILL beat you guys

Whats going to happen when you play a good team ?

    We'll all be waiting
  • HAHAHA Joe, once again i get to prove that you are wrong. Maybe you should check before you open your big yap image

Bucs combined opponents record - 122-134 - played 5 playoff teams (Seattle, Denver, St Louis, Atlanta, San Diego)
Pats combined opponents record - 126-130 - played 5 playoff teams (Indy, Seattle, NY Jets, Pittsburgh, St Louis)

Pats played a total of 10 games vs opponents who had at least a 500 record.
Bucs played a total of 8 games vs opponents who had at least a 500 record.

So who had the tougher schedule??

So gonna keep yapping like you know it all??

    Oh and btw

    Rings Pats 3 - Bucs 1

I guess #2 on the list should be the Tampa Bay organization.

They just traded for Tim Rattay.

I like your Bucs, but that isn't exactly a vote of confidence. They telling Simms it's just precautionary as a backup? I guess the 49ers don't have a plan in case Alex Smith goes down.

    Shawn.
  • joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
Thanks for the news, I didn't hear that. Tim will sit on the shelf, Simms will lead us to Detroit.

I have news for you Patsies fan...8-8 WON"T get you to Detroit..the reign is over, welcome back to the cellar!

    JS

  • "Rattay lost his job two weeks ago after an unspectacular start to the season that saw him garner the 27th-ranked passer rating among starting quarterbacks. Rattay's performance convinced the 49ers to make No. 1 overall draft pick Alex Smith the team's starting quarterback, a move that made Rattay expendable.

Rattay joins a quarterback unit that includes Chris Simms, son of former Giants great Phil Simms, and second-year player Luke McCown."

Another wonderful addition to the Bucs QB tradition.

Be a Bucs QB - The Few, the Proud, the Mediocre.

They will fall hard and fast. Can't wait.
  • Whats wrong Joe?? you keep yapping and then you dont even admit when you are wrong. Bwahahahaha.. poor little Joe... have you actually gotten any of your facts right?

Welcome back to the cellar?? is that where the Bucs have been spending so much time?? Or is that where the teams the Bucs can beat are?

Just admit it when you dont know your facts Joe... and keep telling yourself... the Vikes have no rings, the Eagles have no rings, the Bucs have 1 ring, but when it comes down to it... the Pats have 3!!!
  • The Eagles are never going to be the doormat of the NFC, Detroit has to be good at something and damnit that's our job!!!

Why is patsies fan living in the past?? Are we going to be sitting here in 2025 still talking about how great they were in the 2004?? LOL You
all sound like Cowgirl fan...10 years removed from a SB visit.

You are lucky that the refs helped you with your 1st ring and that an off year for the NFC helped you last year. This year teams are back and the
patsies are showing their true colors.

Your rings won't get you into the big dance this year. Just show up wearing your dress and take whats coming to you.

Just to enlighten those here who think the NFL was created in 2002...the Eagles have three, count em' three NFL championship rings - 1948, 1949 and 1960. Yes, these were before the advent of the "Super Bowl" but the Super Bowl is the NFL championship last time I checked. And the Eagles are going to be getting a fourth NFL championship ring this season.
  • AxtellAxtell Posts: 10,037 ✭✭
Oh lord now the eagle fans are clamoring that 'nfl championships' should count as super bowl wins.

    Get a clue...they DON'T count!

steve..that was pathetic....next you will be touting the Bills second place dominance in the 90's! I really would of loved to meet up with the
Eagles this year but they won't make it to the playoffs. You can sit Rocky on the shelf..he is done. You need to scrap McNad and Reid
and start over. Its 11:33 and Joe J is STILL running down the sideline

Hey...Bucs fans can spin things any way they want, but the facts are the facts, and the facts are that the Eagles have 3 NFL championship rings. And the fact is that the Bucs only have 1 NFL championship ring. Just because the NFL came up with the "Super Bowl" name back in 1967 doesn't diminish at all the importance of those NFL championships the Eagles won previous to the "Super Bowl" name. The Super Bowl is still the NFL championship game. As far as I'm concerned and 99.99% of NFL fans are concerned, the Eagles have 3 rings and the Bucs only have 1 ring. Will the Bucs EVER get a 2nd ring? - probably not in our lifetimes.

It wasn't the NFL that came up with the super bowl...it was the AFL and NFL that did.

I find it funny that there wouldn't be a single NFL guy anywhere who would qualify those Eagle 'championships' as legitimate. Talk about spinning! Trying to qualify a supposed championship from over 40 years ago as 'real' is beyond spinning - O'Reilly would be proud of you!

  • Actually the records are never expunged. The NFL existed and played for championships.
Not all of us are modern day fans who favor expansion teams.
Some of us are "vintage" fans.

What can be said then about franchises such as the Giants, Packers, Bears, etc. Did they all begin play in 1967?

No. STFU and get with the program. The NFL was been around for decades before the Super Bowl and the Stinkaneers.

Joey, if you are referring to Jurevisius, he has 4 TDs this year.

The entire Bucs team has 7 passing TDs. Guess the Bucs shouldn't have screwed him huh? Moron.

What college did he attend? What's that? We are.....Penn State!

That's what happens when your coach can do no more than create a lame, medicore QB corps.

<<< It wasn't the NFL that came up with the super bowl...it was the AFL and NFL that did. >>>

Axtell - you are right. We'll immediately stop referring to the "NFL" and start referring to the "AFL." I'm looking forward this year to the AFL Super Bowl.

<<< I find it funny that there wouldn't be a single NFL guy anywhere who would qualify those Eagle 'championships' as legitimate. >>>

You are right again. The NFL (excuse me...AFL) should be contacted telling them to purge all those illegitimate pre-1967 records that are listed at www.nfl.com or should that be www.afl.com?
  • Joe.. sorry you are the one living in the past.. with all your Bucs have 1 ring, eagles have none... blah blah crap. Total dominance in the picture has the Patriots logo... dominating the NFL for the past 2 years.

I think that the Lions have sunk to new lows. According to the local sports stations, Mike Williams our first round pick has missed over a dozen team meetings. With our two other receivers out and him being #1 for now you think he would show that he cares.
