SMR $185 current bid over $1000

Why don't I have this luck when I sell cards?

Link

Could it be because only 16 have been graded PSA 8 and none higher?

Vintage football is SO off in the SMR. Prices have been very, very healthy.
  • This card would improve 6 of the top 10 sets in the registry...and it seems a few of them want it.

    Nice card.

  • that is pretty high, i've only seen 3 cards in that set grab over 1k in psa 8....but there's only been 2 creekmurs in psa 7 or 8 in the last 18 months come to auction. the last psa 8 only sold for $365

  • That card looks like it might have a shot at an upgrade.Maybe that is the reason for the big bucks.

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.
  • I like the 51 bowman football set. I have no idea about prices though. I thought about building a 1954 Bowman football set, in PSA 6 or better, but decided it was too costly.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!
  • the '51 bowman set has practically doubled in value in the last year....the more i cards i see hit ebay, the more confident i am that my set is going to cover the downpayment on a condo when i sell it. Who says cards aren't a good investment?
