What grades do you think these will get.

I have had these for a long time and now I am finally sending them in for grading. What do you think they will get?

Very nice cards. Hard (impossible?) to tell from a scan, but if I go by what I see there, I'd say none of them get holdered as trimmed. If those are not uneven cuts along the borders and they are gradeable, then you've probably got 7s or 8s, maybe even a 9 on that Carew - good luck.

They all look gorgeous in the scans, although, the Carew (lower left) and Clemente (lower right) appear to have hooks. Perhaps it's just the scan, but if they are actually hooked like that, they're going to come back as trimmed. If they are all standard, they certain look like no less than 8's, perhaps even a 9 on Mays.

They are definately not trimmed. I have had them since the early 1980's and they measure exact to others from those years. If the sides seem uneven it is because of the scanner. I am hoping for at least three 8's. The best is the Carew with the Mays second and the Clemente third. Maybe I can get a 9 and 2 8's?

  • Very nice cards, all solid 8's with the Carew having a very good shot at the 9. Let us know how they grade out.
  • I say 8's with maybe the Mays having a shot at a 9.
    Nice cards!
