My GPA gives a false reading....

I was looking at my Carew Master Set which is almost 87% complete( 25 cards shy of 182 needed). It tells me my GPA is 8.37 but when you look at it closer the break down looks better. 16% of my cards are PSA 10'S and 40% of my cards are PSA 9'S.

  • Keep in mind that the 17% you don't have counts as 0 so if you figure mathmatically, your set is actually has a good rating not as bad as you think.

doesn't matter. if your heavily weighted cards [rookie cards, etc.] are PSA 8s or worse, your GPA will look a lot different.

If you have one PSA 8 with a weighting of 10
and ten PSA 10s with a weighting of 1,
your GPA will show up as 9.0 - despite the fact that 92% of your cards are PSA 10!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

This is true of Set Rating, not GPA. GPA takes into account the cards you own. mikeschmidt nailed it.
  • So does mine, it's says i have a C average.

If you have upgraded any of the cards in your set, you have to delete the old card first or that cards grade will remain figured into the equation. Once you remove the old card and add the new card it should show the right number. At least that has happened to me before.

    Hope that helps.
