I just wanted to let everyone know that customer service couldn't be better. I sent back two vending boxes to Steve who assured me if he pulled some from another case - all would be well. Answer? True.
The first box I have opened is more what I would expect from 83T - some centered, some OK, some not etc.

I keep hearing about how good the service and quality are, I will start out with buying 15 packs of 1981 Donruss today and see how it goes. They weren't too much more expensiv ethen they were when I bought them as a 10 year-old. Sounds good already.

...anyone in the market for some "raw star card qualifiers"? Wasn't worth squat! That's why I love slabbed '70s OPC material, they are tough ones for me to find raw!

I just gave up "ripping Nu-card packs" and will only buy PSAs to continue to upgrade my Nu-Card set. I only need PSA 10's now! You got any? Just PM me...

I couldnt agree more with the CS Mark has provided me. Due to a glitch in the web site my order of a few 82 and 83 Topps vending boxes was not see correctly on Marks end. Because of the delay in the order he threw in an extra vending box of each year free of charge!

I bought a PSA card from bbce that arrived with a slightly cracked case...
sent the card back to steve, he sent it back to psa to be replaced & returned it to me for FREE!
now THAT'S what i call customer service!

Careful with those as they are like what rbdjr found with the 78 OPC's. Both are brutal on centering. I bought an 81D box a few years back, and I got 5 Nolan Ryans and 5 Rickeys and they all had the esact same centering. About 85/15 l/r. I also opened one pack from that box that contained 12(I think its 12 per pack) of the exact same card, a checklist. Don't be surprised if you experience the same and I don't think it is an example of the quality of stuff that BBCE has. I have bought from him 5 times I think and everytime his stuff was great. The cards/centering may not have been, but I could tell the packs were clean at least from my novice POV.

Good luck with your buys and when you buy from Steve at BBCE I think you are dealing with one of the best. Just realize he can tell you the packs are clean and can't vouch for whats inside but above all else, have fun!

Mike, Steve Hart is a top notch dealer - I have had nothing but positive experiences with him for the past few years, at least.

Just wondering though - were your first vending boxes searched? What made you have to send them back?
