1977 O-Pee-Chee #245 Mike Schmidt PSA 9

Picked-up some nice items tonite!

Excited to pick-up this 1977 OPC #245 Mike Schmidt in PSA 9 tonite! Schmidt Scan With only 3 PSA 9's in OPC, compared to 92 graded PSA 9's in Topps, it seems like this '77 OPC is rare, like the 1974, 1975 & 1976 OPC's.

Also picked-up this lot of (4) Perez-Steele slabbed PSA/DNA's for around 10 bucks each!
ENOS SLAUGHTER 1989 Perez-Steele Autograph PSA/DNA
BOB LEMON 1989 Perez-Steele Autograph PSA/DNA
BOBBY DOERR 1989 Perez-Steele Autograph PSA/DNA
GEORGE KELL 1989 Perez-Steele Autograph PSA/DNA

At "twenty bucks a rap" to get PSA to authenticate a Perez-Steele autograph, am I missing something? Gotta 'salt these away'!

There are actually 2 9s and a 10 of that card, but the 10 is not going on the market.

    Nice card.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I think the count is 3 PSA 9's, and 1 PSA 10, I think the third PSA 9 has not been added as yet, to the Population Report. But if there are only 2 PSA 9's. I'll like that! image

    Touche.

Actually, Marc, if you sell off a 1/1 Schmidt vintage OPC PSA 10, I think the collective shock in the card collecting community might throw the Earth out of its normal rotation. You could be singlehandedly responsible for making Hurricane Katrina look like a stiff breeze. Oceans could rise. Cities fall. Don't do it. There's just too much at stake. image

Nice Schmidt card. For the longest time I was in search of a 74OPC Winfield and actually found it by accident buried with non-card items in a non-ebay auction.

Those PS autos were a nice p/u - can't beat the price - it cost more to authen/holder! Are you doing a set?

    thanx for sharing

Mike, I'm a real estate investor, a few years back, when a certain real estate project is flooded with "new construction" and investors all buy at the same time, and then the houses are built and hit the market, all around the same time, guess what happens?

Every other house in this new development had a "for sale sign" on it! So perfectly beautiful brand new $400K homes, are dumped on the market by worried investor types, all at the same time, and this "all-of-a-sudden" over supply-glut is what I "stumbled upon" for, I bought two from that project, one for $285K and one for $315K, that was two years ago!

That "over supply glut" was over about 90 days later! And the prices began to rise again, 320, 340, 375, 425, 500, and two years later, 540K! ...Just totally insane!

My point is if four or five seller/dealers on ebay are all selling a bunch of Perez-Steele PSA/DNA slabbed material with starting bids of $9.99, all at the same time, plus a bunch of smaller sellers also selling Perex-Steele items, along with the bigger guys, is that "not a glut"? (I guess with all that Perez-Steel material, the collectors see those "PSA slabs as just coffins"?) LOL!

P.S. Mike, I'm not making a Perez-Steele set, but I gotta say they sure are nice looking to me, with those autographs and all! They just look like "nice salt away" items at the right price at the right time. ...And if not, I'm sure 10 will get me 20! LOL!
