My catalog say it's worth about $3,800 and it's a 2000 so the $2,500 isn't that bad of a price for the stamp. But $45,000 is crazy.
edited to add he took the BIN off and he has a bidder.

If even Geniune who would buy this without a certificate???

don't know..... someone with more money than sense i guess. I couldn't even imagine a reputable dealer
putting a stamp like this on ebay. It's one of those type of things that someone would have to special request,
There just isn't that many of the stamps unused around. The prices at georgetown are outrageous, a total
scam. There are similar stamps issued in the same year for about $18.00 retail and I'm betting thats what the
bidder will end up with. I wish they would have given the scott number so that would have made it easier otherwise
you have to count perforations and know what press type it came from, something I'm not an expert at.

    edited to add.
    Ok I counted the perfs and I get 11 x 10 , if it's a rotary press and a scott# 578 then it's worth about $170.00 retail.

That is what I counted also. Anyway, the item has been removed and the seller is no longer a registered user on eBay.

If you just want a ballpark figure you can click on the PSE link at the top of the screen. There is an on online US price guide. It's for graded stamps
but it will give you a clue.
