I'd venture a "Yes" vote, as the card looks like it has a bit of a hook to it on the right border. I thought it might have been image distortion, but the holder looks perfectly straight next to the card. BGS let this slip by them.

I remember a while back on the Beckett boards, some guys discovered a trimmed 2001 SP Authentic Mark Prior (numbered to 1500). On Ebay, an auction closed for a BGS 9, then a month or so later, another auction closed for a BGS 10 that had the same serial number, however, you could tell the card was slightly trimmed in it's BGS 10 holder simply by looking at left edge of the card, and seeing that his arm is a little closer to the left in the 10 than it was in the 9. Pretty scandalous. Either BGS screwed up, or there are duplicate serials.

Either that or a horrible miscut.

It sure looks awfully short. That being said, it's awfully strange that a trimmed card would get a 9 for corners as you would expect someone who is going to trim it would be able to tell the difference between a 9 corner and gem corners. Personally, when I compare it to this one It appears to me that all 4 sides have probably been trimmed. Look at the amount missing from the skybox logo on the right, and the space on the left between the orange "blobs" and the edge, also look how much more space is above his finger in the ungraded card.. the amount of skin showing on his leg on the bottom seems pretty close. Certainly one could argue that the ungraded one just has worse centering, but notice how perfectly it fills the 1 screw case it's in?

It's a modern card in a BGS holder from a guy selling a bunch of BGS 9.5's...that's all I need to see.
