Sure looks like "Mei Ji Ni Ju Ichi Nen" (Meij 21 Year - 1888) to me. Even if you don't Shiroh, I remember that they were still writing right to left back then.
The only thing that makes me nervous is the definition of the "feathers" adjacent to the "Nen" character (3:00). IMHO they really should be sharper to match the rest of the coin's state of preservation.
It's definately Meiji 21... that's some fatal error there shiroh... You just read it as Year 12 JiMei (lol)
It could be a genuine coin but I am not guaranting it... too many counterfeits and you know it's a problem when I have a counterfeit die that looks horrifying real somewhat...
