LOL this will be the worst ratings ever in baseball! you can argue all you want but the numbers wont even be close! this will be the least watched playoffs ever from here on out!!

    In a way - this marks the end of the baseball season for me. No Red Sox, and no Yanks to root against...well, now I can concentrate on football, I suppose...

    I think everyone is underestimating the wide range of Cardinals fans. The midwest if full of Cardinals fans. Plus, Chicago is a huge market, along with LA/Anaheim.

    Yeah, everyone seems to think that unless it is BOS, NYY, CHC, PHI, or SF, baseball is not worth watching in October.

    Well, with the exception of HOU this year, these teams all deserve to be there and will be fun to watch.

    Agreed.

    How can this be a ratings disaster?

    Los Angeles: #2 TV Market
    Chicago: #3 TV Market
    Houston: #10 TV Market
    St Louis: Team with fan base all over the midwest, steeped in tradition, and with some national appeal.

    Not too shabby fan/market base left!

    I laughed when I read this. Bitter? I'd like to know who you think is the 2nd best team in the NL this year and deserves to be in the NLCS over Hou.

    I think you're wrong.

    Look at the top 5 media markets in the US, and you'll see #2, #3, and #4 still in the playoffs as well as the aforementioned Cardinals with as big and passionate a fan base as any team (yes, even the yankees and red sox).
