GAI 8???

I have only crossed one GAI card from 1955 to PSA and it crossed equally. So if standards are more or less the same, how does the centering on this card make it an 8 other than by PRO?

The Groat is a tuff card. The Pirates logo is way over to the right in a perfectly centered card and it actually gives the card a way OC look.

I agree that this card ihas borderline centering at best for an 8. At times a card has exceptional corners and other attributes and the grader allows for a flaw.

The only reason it would appear to have decent centering is the logo. But I believe PSA doesn't go by the logo for centering on this card.

Does that line going down his left shoulder and arm look like a crease? Or is this normal for this card?

This is actually about the best centering that the Groat can have. Many collectors prefer it to the white borders being aligned 50/50 and having the Pirate logo cut off.

My Groat PSA 7 has much better centering than that.

    Can you post a scan?
