Gemmy10 Compromise and Pledge

<<And the rare instances where we start getting some good sports talk, most threads are derailed when you come on and post some condescending - and usually completely off topic - remark. Of course, many others are guilty of this as well, I'm not singling you out.>>

OK, I have a compromise and pledge. I will post no more than 5 new topics on the Sports Talk Board during a 24 hour period. Of course I might have more than 5 posts but I will limit them to those 5 new topics and older topics.

The above quote was by Throwdown and I respect his and other members' requests so that is why I am doing this. The only thing I ask in return is that other people abide by what I am doing. It starts this morning at 1:44 AM EST and this topic does not count. And in case anybody wants to know why I am up so late, it's because I just got back from the Yankee game. Of course you might get a few new posts since I am full of adrenaline after an exciting game and have just driven 1 hour 20 min. image My wife was so excited after the last out of the game that she almost knocked our digital camera out of my hand.

Well, almost. It does no good if all 5 are essentially "Yankees Rule!" If you have 5 new posts worth of topics to bring to the table, so be it.

5 new topics a day is still overboard. Here is why, your threads are predictable and usually meant to cause controversy and even if the so called topic is different your motivation is still the same transparent attempt at what you call paybacks. This is only meant as advice so take it that way. Why not just have one thread and call it AntiYankee payback and post your feelings on that ONE everday. That way you and Axtell can go at it whenever your hearts desire. One last piece of advice, you might want to examine the real reason you feeled compelled to do multi-posts of this vein. Like I said its predictable on what's coming and appears you have become a slave to this. Just some random thoughts.

I don't know why but Gemmy's comments remind me of fat people who say they are only gonna eat 5 chocolate chip cookies per day - they never really stop at 5.

Remember when I made you the threads Yankees Win/Lose/Are Great and Anti-Sox? Instead of creating threads, make posts in the same threads. There is no need for you to create 20 different threads for different (and in most cases, the same ones) photoshopped pictures.

I'm not trying to be rude but I just don't understand why it's this difficult for you to comprehend.

You are not doing anyone favors by limiting yourself to 5 threads per day. While your intentions may be swell, it's kinda like an oxymoron.

Make ONE Yankees thread and post all of your comments, photoshops, etc there. Do the same with the Giants.

If you do this, I swear to never, ever give you grief again.
