Speaking of really nice cards, I also picked-up a nice '73 OPC Aaron PSA 9 tonite!

I've been accumulating some nice 1973 OPC baseball over the past year! And this Henry Aaron card will become a nice addition to my "stash"! 1973 O-Pee-Chee #473 Henry Aaron PSA 9

SMR for the Topps variety is $150, so this OPC for $170, may be a bit high, but I figured my chances of finding another PSA 9 at any price would be "slim to none". So what else, "I pulled the trigger" again! image

We all know that since you post every auction you win on the boards!
  • I like how you put "mint" in the discussion for your PSA 9 cards. It really clarifies things for the three or four collectors in the world who don't know what "PSA 9" means.

Brianwintersfan, posting my wins seems to trouble you? I mean no harm in posting additions to my collection!

I do enjoy posting wins! (I've received numerous PMs and emails from others letting me know that they enjoyed viewing my wins!). But the best "by-product" in posting my wins here, have been all the "private deals" on some really great cards and lots, that have been offered to me, "directly relating because of me posting my wins all the time here on this thread". In fact, without all my "chatter" here, I would have had "many-a-card" slip thru the cracks!

I've made a "ton of great deals" from various viewers and posters that have solicited me here and have developed some nice "trading partners and contacts".

Thanks soooooooo much! (You know who you are!)

edit: In fact, I just picked-up (via another private deal here!), the "one and only" 1973 OPC Lou Brock PSA 9 and a 1973 OPC Catfish Hunter PSA 9 1/1 ...thanks message board! image

Throwdown, actually I did/do that as a habit for my own benefit. It started from my 1976 Topps set. I would look down the "owner's comments" very fast, to see if I have a "NM-MT, mint or gem mint".

It was easier for me to view a list of 660 cards much faster on the right side "by the owner's comments", rather than look at a single number grade that was burried in the "middle column".

I agree Throwdown, that was/is pretty silly of me, and now that I've pretty much know my '76 set by memory! And I no longer need to upgrade from PSA 8s (except for just 6 cards now, out of 660!). Why I continue to list NM-MT, Mint, Gem Mint, in the "owner's comments" on my other sets? Just a "creature of habit", I guess? Like I said, its pretty silly, but it was really for "my eyes only",

    ...but Throwdown, thanks for sharing!
