Silver question

What is the apx value times face for Canadian silver? When through the coffee can and I have $150 face in Canadian Silver. Any ideas what I can expect turning it in.

Thanks

Canadian silver was sterling .925 up thru 1919, .800 from 1920 thru part of 1968, .500 in 1968 for dimes and quarters.

No idea. Well, not true, I have an idea. I would say about 4x face but then again, I have little idea. Aethelred should know, he works in a coin shop.

I would depend on what type of mix you have. I would say about 3-4x face if there is a lot of George VI and QE2 stuff in there. Your best bet would be to break it into several random lots and sell it on eBay.

On second thought Marty, eBay might not be the best option for you right now.image

At $7.50/oz it would be 4.5 times face for .800 fine (1936-1967).
