While others may try to make excuses for their team's play, there are none here.
The Cowboys were ready.
The Eagles were not.
Andy Reid once again proved that he will not adjust his system. If the defense has an off day, and the offense sputters you lose the game under his game plan. You need to have some semblance of a running game Reid. Make changes to compensate. Make McNabb run if he likes it or not.
All around they just stunk up the joint.

serious question for eagles fans? seems cowboys stop the blitz and your secondary was exposed! you worried they will get challenged all year now? your secondary that is?
Cowboys game plan to come out throwing was perfect! get up on a team early when they are on the raod for the 2nd week after a comeback win. it just doesnt happen 2 times in a row.
week 10 monday night should be a good game. i just hope cowboys are 6-2 or 5-3 going in so its not a make or break game.

A good enough sport to start this thread and the one about Julius Jones yesterday.
I even stay at the visiting team's hotel when I go to Philly for games. It's nice to help project a positive image of the city and their fans. The response by opposing team players and their fans is usually about 50/50 when the wife and I talk to them while wearing Eagles jerseys. The worst reception was last year when we jumped onto the private elevator with the Vikings owners. Hey we had access cards for that floor too. They were not happy to see us.
The best? The late Sam Mills. A real class act.
Don't think you'll find a post from me betting on this game.
Besides..don't think my Gambler's Anonymous sponsor would appreciate it.

You know what happens when the Eagles play the Cowboys on Monday night.
that is what was so baffling ... they NEVER blitzed! The Eagles have made a name for themselves by blitzing over half the time. I don't recall more than 5 (if any) the whole game.
the secondary is fine ... linebackers are fine ... need some D-line help, especially with Grasmanis gone for the season and Darwin Walker hurting, the rotation is out of whack.
It was a clunker. Two weeks is plenty of time to fix it.
Recent history (21-4 in Nov and Dec) says they will.
Johnson will knock some sense into them next week. Reid gave them off until then.
The D will come back. Johnson did the same thing in a couple of games last year. I think they expected Dallas to run more and didn't want the RBs to blow by the blitz. That said they should have adjusted.
The coaches seem to have a problem changing the game plan in mid stride. That worries me.
The Chargers may be in for trouble. A solid game against them will help.

The left one is my wife. I couldn't afford the rest of her.

No worries here, she makes her living working with people who carry badges and guns. Me, I just work for the Department of Homeland Security.
We don't fret much about safety.
