    GREATEST. GAME. EVER.

I'll post insight about the crowd a little later... Waaaaaaaaaay too drained emotionally and physically.

    I'm still delerious...

After they hit the granny, it definately took a lot out of us but we never gave up. Regardless of the score, the fans were always cheering, on their feet, ect. Backe even got a standing ovation when he got pulled in the 4th, which was pretty classy I must say.

One of the people I was with actually suggested we leave in the 8th. I told him, and i poo you not, that I had feeling about this game and there wasn't a chance in hades we were leaving. When Berkman hit his granny, the place erupted! The next inning with Ausmus, no one around us realized it was a home run; I thought he was in with a stand up tripple. The the ump waves his finger indicating a homer and everyone sorta looks at each other... It was like, huh?!? what just happened?!?! Whatever happened, we'll take it... I still haven't seen the replay but on the ride home, they said on the radio that it even fooled Milo (HOF announcer). Was it that close?

    Anyhoo...

Around the 13th inning, you could tell the crowd was getting tired. Keep in mind that they stop serving beer after the 7th, so most of us were "coming down" ya know. That and it was such an emotional game being down 6-1, it just took a lot out of us.

Sorry about the rambling but considering the circumstances image

We knew that our pitching was getting really thin... I look at the bullpen and see Rocket warming up. WHOA! In the middle of the 15th, Rocket comes out of the pen and gets a standing ovation on his way to the dugout. You could feel the energy coming back to the crowd. He comes in as the pinch hitter and lays down a PERFECT bunt. Again, standing ovation image

You could feel the electricty come back with Rocket and this was with less people +/- 30,000 (shame on you!!)

When Burke hit it out, the crowd went BEZERK! 18 innings and 6 hours after the 1st pitch, it was over with one swing of the bat... You voice is toast, your hands hurt from so much clapping, legs are tired from standing so long... Emotionally and physically drained, you had this one last burst to celebrate THE BEST GAME EVER PLAYED AT MMP.

Think of the best orgasam you ever had.......

    Now multiply it by ten.

I'm off to have a smokeimage

I had the game on and took a nap when the score was 6 to 0. I woke up from my nap to get ready for church and it was in the 12th and tied 6-6. I didn't get to see the end. It mush have been a good one.

    Congrats to the Astros.
