  • Jerry,

    It's British mate. image

This is the current two pence coin that is used here in the UK. You found yourself about 3.70ish American cents with that one coin. Sure beats digging 4 holes to get the same in US pennies, doesn't it? I love the ring on the Ace 250 when the pound coins hit. Right now the exchange rate for US $ to UK pounds is about $1.85 for 1 pound. The pound rings solid right at the 1 cent line on the 250. I haven't gotten out with the 2500 yet into areas where I can find such coins--I am ready to hear the sound on the 2500. Where did the 2p hit at on your detector? The 2p coin on the 250 bounces back and forth between cent and a dime.

  • Thanks for the info, Scott.
This came out of a sand box. It read as a quater. Had a GOOD sound too. I don't find
    many like this in Calif.

  • Yeah, that coin gives a great sound on the 250 and I actually found one last night in my back yard with the 2500. It gives a definite blast on both machines.

    Which detector are you using?

Sorry---I should have put that in the first post image

It was a White's DFX with a BigFOOT coil.
Depth: about 2 inch in sand (dry)
