Just hit 50% on my 1961 Topps Baseball set....

I just hit 50% on my 1961 Topps Baseball Set and now the real work begins. I only started 7 months ago on this set, it has been fun, but the cards are becoming more difficult to find. I still have a few I would like to upgrade, my current grade is 6.98 and I would like to get that up above 7 before the set is complete.

I never thought putting a PSA set together would be this challenging and rewarding at the same time. Every time I add a few cards, I can't wait to put them up on the registry and see how much I move up (or not). Thanks to all who have helped me with the set so far. Maybe within another 7 months I can get this done.... wishful thinking I believe

That's a great accomplishment. '61 is a truly outstanding set and one of my favorites. I have two sets raw; one complete and the other short a handful of high numbers. I've submitted about 100 of my extras and they came back mostly 8s, a couple 9s, a couple 7s. I've toyed with the idea of starting a set on the registry with what I have, but I don't think I could ever amass a set as nice as my #1 raw set - but I watch this particular registry with great interest. Good luck on the second half.
