Congrats To The White Sox

Congratulations on a well played series, and good luck in the ALCS to the Chicago White Sox.

We'll be back next year.

Hope you are, but for pete's sake get some pitching and hitting at 3rd and short. I've seen more Chisox vs Bosox games then any other in person going back to the days when Dick Radatz pitched for the Red Sox. He is without doubt the hardest throwing reliever I have ever seen. Saw him strike out 6 guys in a row, no one saw the ball from right center where we sitting all we heard was the thud of the ball hitting the catchers mitt.

The Red Sox played hard, they just never caught a break and in 5 game series you need luck and breaks to happen quickly.image

Mike - you are correct. I never liked these short series (I always hoped all playoff rounds would be best of 7), but getting hot quickly is key, along with making no mistakes and catching a few breaks. I think this year we really missed Pedro and D-Lowe, and probably should have kept Orlando Cabrera (giving the extra money we paid Renteria to Pedro instead).

But, the White Sox are getting hot again at the right time. I have always liked Konerko and Rowand, and to be able to bring a guy like El Duque in from the bullpen is going to come in handy again. Not to mention this kid Jenks is throwing smoke - they'll be tough to beat no matter who they face. And, Ozzie seems to be making the right moves right now, without caring what anyone says about them.

You have to admit that El Duque was incredible. Wish the Yanks would have worked harder on keeping him image
