What kind of sub was the one you're waiting on?? I sent in my "CLUB" (6-free cards) and have the following status:

    Date Received: 10/04/2005
Date of Grades Posted: No Date Specified
    Date Shipped: No Date Specified

Just curious. I'm hoping mine'll be no more than a week's wait. I've got an '83Fritsch Puckett rookie in that lot. I'm waiting to make sure it's not a counterfeit before giving the eBay seller any feedback. I bought the card in an auction ending 7/13/05 and the seller had to mail it four times before the stinking P.O. finally delivered it.

Anybody know how long you have to leave feedback before the chance expires?? It's coming up on 90 days for the Puckett auction...

  • hoofhearted - When did you send yours?

This is my first "real" submission and have no clue how long it will take. It was a registry special and I mailed mine on 9/30, but so far there is no indication they rec'd it yet.

I guess I could use the registration number and track it online................but where would the fun in that be?

BOWDOWN FYI should you call customer service and make sure it is no tin the problem order PILE. I know my submission was not perfect and this could hold it up for weeks!!
  • Republic...., Good idea! I was sure I followed all their little rules and guidelines, but since it is my first time, it's very possible I could have screwed something up.

My was so screwed also cause I have 2 diffrent names listed. My full name and nickname, they had no idea who I was when I was calling!!! Then all of a sudden oh wait, we have it here in the problem orders ARGHHHGGH!
  • Well, according to the P.O. tracking, it was delivered on the 4th. At least I know it GOT there and wasn't lost by the P.O.

My large submission was entered in on Monday 10/3. Obviously by about Thursday, I was checking 231,475 times a day.

    bowdown,

I used the P.O. registration number to track my package to PSA and then used PSA's submission status checker to get the info I displayed above.

Which cards did you submit?? All football?? I recently found my older '60s football cards. I'll have to check them out closer to see if there's anything worth submitting.

You can see what I just submitted by this link

    Good luck with your grades!

mine was a tall boy special, received 9/7.. and another one was the other special, whatever it was.. i think it was 1972-1992?.. also received 9/7..

  • Did you write on the outside of the box that it was "October Special"? If you didn't do this then there most definately would be a delay in getting it into their system.

If you call them up they will locate it and get it back on track!

I was extremely pleased with the turn around time on my last submission! Only 3 days after they received it the grading was completed! And I submitted it under the within 35 day service. Needless to say I am quite pleased with PSA's customer service! image

i had a large submission received 10/1 and it was entered this friday. my submission number was changed as well as my quantity. do you think they broke out the submission into multiple submissions due to being vintage and some modern? i've emailed, but will be calling monday to confirm. i hope they are not taking monday as a holiday. image

    Thanks,

I hear ya, PA. I've been waiting since 8/18 on a bulk vintage common. The sh---y thing is that there's still 9 or 10 business days left for PSA to make good on the guarantee.

  • Idferg,

If you submitted Vintage and Modern on one submission sheet......PSA will split them into two seperate orders as that is what they request you do on their order forms prior to submission. If this was the case for your order, that would also likely create a delay in handling as well. It's always important to read the order form and be sure you've done all that is required prior to submission. You have a lot better chance of getting your submission completed early if everthing is as it should be!
But one thing is for sure....if you call them and let them know what you did wrong and ask them to kindly correct your errors......your likely to get a positive and enthusiastic reaction and PSA normally makes every effort to get your order completed in a timely matter once things are back on track image

Yeah hoof, all football. I sent in the remaining 27 1959 Bell Brand Rams cards I have, for my registry set.

I just called PSA, they told me that my submission was entered into their system on the 6th, without any prolems and that they should be graded soon. Despite him telling me this over the phone, I still can't get any information from the website when I enter the submission # and zip code. I know this is my first time, but I'm sure I'm punching those 2 little bits of information in correctly. It worked OK on my original 6 freebies. I don't get it.

minimaster - No I didn't write anything on the outside of the package. I don't read anywhere on the information pack I rec'd that that was necessary, just writing the "October special" at the top of the submision form, which I did. Besides, the cust. serv. rep said it was enetered without a problem, so..............

I guess I'll just keep trying the nunmbers on the website. Maybe I'll have to actually wait until I get the cards back before I see what grades they got.image

  • P_A,

Well that's news to me on the "it doesn't matter if you write on the outside of the box or not"?

Check out the back of a PSA Submission form under Shipping Instructions......#9. "Package cards and submission form carefully. To Validate Guarantee Service, name of service must be marked clearly on the outside of package. This will help expedite the process of your order."

Perhaps the service rep. you were talking to was unfamiliar with PSA's submission policies? I will error on the side of caution and continue to mark the type of service on the outside of the package to be sure my submissions continue to be expedited image

  • pandrewspandrews Posts: 7,598 ✭✭✭

no i understand they prefer you to mark the box appropriately, ive submitted many times before.. but my cards were received on 9/7, so there was no delay in getting them into the system, although there couldve been.. but theyre now "in grading" and at this point, it wouldnt matter whether i marked the box "september cc special" or not..

  • Please, someone tell me I don't need to panic!

Out of curiosity I emailed PSA and asked why my submission status doesn't show on their website, even though the rep on the phone told me it was enetered without a problem.

Well, the reply I got back so far is that they do have the submission # entered, but IT'S UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME!? Huh????image

Hoping it's just some innocent keypunch error!

Just called and I think everything is going to be OK.
Apparently they just entered my submission under someone elses account #. Cust rep said they'd get it straightened out. Cards are supposedly being graded now.

i really hate to complain, but it's borderline ridiculous how long theyre taking..

  • P_A,

Good to hear that you had no delay with your submission despite not having the service written on the outside of the box. It shows that sometimes PSA shows a little mercy and opens the box before putting it in the problem pile image

Perhaps there were a lot of submissions (this being the final month of entries before the awards) and this has caused a slight delay. Having had a prior submission and receiving grades back in a few days vs. the 35 days it could have been one might understandably tend to get a little more anxious?

I'm sure you'll be hearing about your grades sooner than later P_A image

No, it is ridiculous. Here's my 10 p.m. status check:

PSA Order Status for Submission # 578481 [bulk pre-'53 commons]

    Date Received: 08/18/2005
Date of Grades Posted: No Date Specified
    Date Shipped: No Date Specified

I guess it's PSA's way of saying, "Don't be so freakin' cheap and pony up more than $8 a card next time."

Finally! So far I've only peeked at the top three cards, which were pretty much as expected - including a successful GAI 3 to PSA 3 crossover. I'm going to try not to look at the rest until they get here, but you invoice voyeurs can peek if you'd like. Invoice: 578481; ZIP 63376.
