Good sellers for modern football boxes?

I haven't bought a box of cards in 15 years, but the new donruss playoff honors caught my attention with the heisman winner subset. I wouldn't contemplate buying a box off of ebay, and don't have any interest in searching for a card shop so they can gouge me. So the question is, who would you recommend to purchase single boxes from these days? bbc exchange only seems to sell vintage packs, is joe stalin still around?

Kruk Cards and Baseball Card Exchange.
  • All of the above names are fine. I'll add Larry Roselli of LRcards too.

    dave and adams
    charmcity cards
    georgetown cards
    bruceharris cards
    blowoutcards

It would depend where you live....try the closest place so you don't have to wait forever on ups ground. Scan the beckett boards
for a possible coupon code for d&a

Good luck and let us know what you pull

  • I just pre-ordered from Larry Roselli (lrcards.com). His prices were the best I could find on the net, and he had free shipping.
  • gopokes- What did you order? I recently bought a case of UpperDeck football and pre-ordered 2 cases of SP Authentic Football

  • I preordered 2 boxes of 2005-06 UD Hockey (couldn't resist), 2 boxes of 2005 Football Heritage and 1 box of the 2005 All American Retired Edition.
  • Good luck with your purchases. Are you looking to build sets or just pack-ripping for fun?

that 2005 all american concept has my mouth watering, what an awesome idea. i'm going to be addicted to that like all the heritage people are to the baseball boxes!

  • I'm a set builder all the way. I've got every Heritage set in master form for all four sports that they've made. To me, even if the All American is a glossy type card, it still fits in the Heritage grain.
  • gopokes- That's great. I wish you luck in completing this years set.

I thought heritage football was stunning in 2001..actually I thought Hockey and Basketball were nice too, but it just didn't catch on
in other sports other than baseball. Topps has the chance to get it right but they have large shoes to fill following 4 great years of
    heritage baseball.

I guess they figure their hold on the rookie card is coming to an end in baseball, they better try something else!
