Just thought I'd give you all one last look ... before I defeat poor gregM13 this week and take over the top spot. You'll probably get tired of seeing my name in first place every week, so you can always scroll back to this thread to remember when I was in lowly second place.
Art, I hope last weeks HUGE LOSS wasn't too embarassing for you. I know Wolf still hasn't recovered from the whooping my team put on him.
Marcus, my apologies in advance for having to bump you out of first place ... but it was really just a matter of time.

Marcus, I'll see you in a few weeks!
I was in the PSA league the last 2 years and poof no invite this year.
What gives?
RobBob
I don't think the one I'm in is a PSA league.
In fact I was watching the boards this year waiting for the PSA one to reappear and never saw it.
I thought I had missed out on it.
By the way Marcus I see that you put Helm's Deep as Mike from nearmint but in fact it's Doug Rivard of Kyasha.
Just an oversight I'm sure.
<< <i>You guys suck!
I was in the PSA league the last 2 years and poof no invite this year.
What gives?
RobBob >>
Rob - It was Eric ( uniship ) that ran the PSA fantasy league the past 2 years
and apparently he didn't get around to putting it together again this year.
I forget who even won that league last year ... oh wait a second ... that's right ... it was me.
Anyway, consider yourself invited into our league for next year if you'll still have us.
We've already got our quota of jerks from Maryland so you could help balance out the state ticket.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
Sorry we didn't get you in. As the others have said, this was a new one that was kind of patch worked together. If anyone else wants in for next year, just put your name on this thread. We'll pull it up before we make up the teams next year and send out invites. I imagine we'll have enough for a couple of leagues, because Jay Wolt, NearMint Mike, Mojo Kirk, Fuzz, Jasp, and elway65 all had to pass this year ... but said they'd be interested in getting in next year. Actually, it's probably a good thing (for me) that Jay didn't play ... or Plexico and Eli Manning wouldn't have been available for me to pick up so cheap. ;-)
I also have to think that this is a much more "advanced league" .... if you guys let someone like Wolf win last year!
Marcus,
Yea, it looks like you get to stay in first place for one more week. I got scared off by the injury/matchup reports and pulled Curtis Martin at the last second, and of course with Eli on a bye week and Vick hurt ... my little A. Brooks theroy (that he'd be good enough to skate by with) didn't exactly work out as I planned. Thankfully, everyone else rallied enough for me to get the win, but just not enough points to sneak past you for first place.
Good luck this week!
Jeremy,
I'm still making my guys "run laps" for the loss to you.
Mike
Thanks for the responses. I saw Jeremy in the league and jumped to conclusions, my apologies. I am in for next year!
My 3 current teams all in Money Leagues are 1-5,5-1,4-2. The 1-5 team has been decimated by injuries including McAllister and J Walker with suck ass Trent Green at the helm.
Good Luck guys, remember...information is power.
RobBob (The Good Guy from MD)
Just kidding of course, I'm playing Trent tonight so let's hope he has at least one good week.
Take care all!
Since your throwing out the invitation for next year count me in. What's the draft format?
Lee

WEEK SIX RECAP - by Wolfbear
wolfbane - 152
Helm's Deep - 136
Helm's didn't utilize Tatum Bell's 23 points, instead opting for Corey Dillon who was supposed to play but didn't. OUCH !
Meanwhile, wolfbane persists in his delusion that Drew Brees is a QB who will eventually score big fantasy points.
If only Mike Vanderjagt could have kicked another six field goals Monday night, the Helmsmen would have notched a W.
ShouldabeenaRedskin - 170
Pigskinassassins - 153
Randy Moss took a mild hit early on and then spent the rest of the game sucking his thumb on the sidelines.
As usual, ShouldabeenaRedskin's LaDainian Tomlinson with 47 points bailed out his otherwise laughable team.
Note to Shoulda : The Manning that's worth a crap plays for Indy - you've got the other one.
TFCS Slabs - 176
Honyacks - 131
TFCS was a victom of the Bolts not needing to pass resulting in McCardell and Gates combining for a whopping 6 points.
Really though, how much production do you need when you're going up against a team that appears to be snakebit.
Even so, Honyacks finally showed some signs of life this week with 29 from Thomas Jones and 25 from Carson Palmer.
vintage_redskins - 205
Roid Rage - 188
Roid Rage put together a solid lineup with one notable exception as he ended up getting Dilferized at QB.
Rage scored enough points to get a win if had played any other team in the league this week,
but vintage_redskins scientific method finally paid off as the darts landed on the correct players to start for once.
Dr. Jelly Fingers - 130
E A G L E S - 128
Domanick Davis had 18 carries for 40 yards plus a short reception for a TD which equals success in this league.
E A G L E S racked up 62 points on Monday night for a valiant comeback but fell just short of victory.
Eddie Kennison got a jump on Halloween by dressing as the invisible man for E A G L E S. ZERO catches ?????
Good to see a few more messages on the board here this week. Banter is fun, free, and contains no calories !
Lee,
Hopefully we'll use the exact same draft format next year ... a live on-line draft ... with me picking first and scooping up L. Tomlinson!
It's set up with 1-QB, 2-WR's, 1-RB, 1-RB/WR, 1-TE, 1-TEAM DEF, 1-K, 1-DB, 1-DL, 6-Bench. We've also tweaked the point system some, to increase the defensive scoring, kickers, and level out the WR's, RB's and QB's.
Mike
I expect you run one of those 'Welcome to the new guys' leagues that gives the first picks to the newest owners. As such, LT would be coming home..........
Look forward to 06'!!!

WEEK 7 RECAP - by Wolfbear
ShouldabeenaRedskin - 144
E A G L E S - 133
This closely contested battle came down to Curtis Martin scoring more points than Keith Brooking on Monday night.
The battle between the Manning brothers ended up a push and Ricky Williams tested positive for being washed up.
Both the Eagles and the E A G L E S managed to shut down LT, but he still got 14 fantasy points for his 7 yards.
vintage_redskins - 150
wolfbane - 135
Clinton Portis finally found the endzone this season and he liked it so much he went back a couple more times.
Good thing Clinton had a career day for vintage_redskins since Shaun McDonald and Chris Cooley both tanked.
wolfbane may some day figure out that starting any Buffalo Bill is fantasy suicide. Eric Moulds now available.
TFCS Slabs - 155
Pigskinassassins - 143
Pigskinassassins starting QB Josh McClown was no match against the might of the Tennessee Titans awesome defense ?
Torry Holt was a pregame scratch for da assassins and that proved to be the difference in this contentious matchup.
LaMont Jordan ran up 47 points proving he could be a star if he played against teams with no defense every week.
Helm's Deep - 152
Dr. Jelly Fingers - 117
Joe Horn ended up on the inactive list for the Saints and didn't record any points for Dr. Fingers.
Helm's Deep picked up an unheard of 79 points on the defensive side. Vinnie Testaverde accounted for most of them.
Good thing since Robert Ferguson went down with an injury and Anquan Boldin failed to record a singe catch.
Honyacks - 136
Roid Rage - 123
This battle for the league celler was billed as a slap fight between two little old ladies and it didn't disappoint.
Led by superstars Tiki Barber and Thomas Jones, Honyacks began their playoff march by notching win number one.
Chris Brown's surprising one week run as a fanstasy league superstud came to crashing halt for Roid Rage.
Well this is about the halfway point and it's turning out to be a very competitive league.
Pigskinassassins has scored the most points and by rights should be in 1st,
but in fantasy football you can't control how many points your opponents score against you.
Same for our two unlucky bottom teams.
They have had the most points scored against them in the matchups.
Maybe it will all even out by season's end.

As for next year's initiation, remember to dress as your favorite wrestler,
bring along a ukulele, and don't forget lots of solvent capable of removing tree sap.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
I'll have to take out my aggression on this week's opp.
But it's a brand new week, and I've been holding motivational meetings the last few days with my players ... they're all pumped up and ready to roll.
Should be a good weekend ... watching the fantasy points pile up, and the Redskins take out their GIANT frustrations on the Eagles!
Mike
End of season update :
SKINSFAN won our championship in thanks to some over-achieving Redskin players ...
and gregm13 came from out of nowhere to finish 2nd ...
Still need to mail Art a card for finishing first in our league.
Hey Art - when something like this shows up in your front yard, dig through all the popcorn and you should find it :
