What is the term "jumbo" mean in the stamp world.

Is this when your stamp has an extra piece of border paper from the original block the stamp came from?

Jumbo means large margins on stamp.

The extra piece of border paper is called selvedge. This is unrelated to "jumbo"; which smittys anwered.

If you know anyone who is a member of the American Philatelic Society, as to see their copy of the October 2005 issue of the American Philatelist. It has a wonderful article about monster (jumbo) stamps.
