1960 Fleer #28 Lou Gerhig PSA 9 was $355 a good deal?

1960 Fleer #28 Lou Gehrig PSA 9

Key cards to this set:

#72 Ted Williams (SMR - PSA 9 = $ 1,350.00) - Population 28 PSA 9s (No 10s!) with a total of 481 graded by PSA
#03 Babe Ruth (SMR - PSA 9 = $ 750.00) - Population 11 PSA 9s (No 10s!) with a total of 280 graded by PSA
#28 Lou Gehrig (SMR - PSA 9 = $ 600.00) - Population 21 PSA 9s (One 10!) with a total of 333 graded by PSA
#42 Ty Cobb (SMR - PSA 9 = $ 400.00) - Population 11 PSA 9s (No 10s!) with a total of 274 graded by PSA

I thought the Lou Gehrig card would go much higher (i.e., "hammer price" of: $ 355.50)?

With only three bids on this item ($333, $350, $355) and SMR suggesting a value of $600, maybe I was wrong about this card or did this one "just get away"?

Any thoughts here? I remember buying and selling mint '60 Fleer commons some years back, cheap! But never dealt in the key HOF cards here.

I think SMR is way out of line on the Gehrig. IMO, its SMR should be about that of Cobb's.

Even so, what have the other Gehrigs sold for that came up recently?

Good find, in my opinion. But that has always been the creepiest looking card I have ever seen.

I sold a bunch of PSA 9's from that set on EBAY this year....all of them, including the Williams, went for about 50% of SMR value.
