I know a few of you may expect to see a Roman coin or a hammered silver coin. Unfortunately, I still haven't found one of those yet. However, I did manage to find the gem below yesterday. I wanted to get a picture on here yesterday, but I was having camera issues. It's not in the best of condition (the back of the ring is broken and you should be able to tell that in the first pic) but it is my first one and it is SILVER. I really thought my first bit of silver would be from a coin, but it hasn't worked out that way.
Tom, you were correct--you told me just two days ago to keep digging and I would find my first one.
And now the pics
Edited to add: I thought I had the pictures done correctly but the second picture isn't showing up for me. However, when I click on the link at the bottom, it opens up for me. Can someone help me out?
Edited again to add--I think I have both of the pictures on here now. At least I can see both of them.
Thanks for looking!!!!!

Great find either way.
My TV Blog
I do believe that it is an actual finger ring. The band portion is actually broken--I know it is hard to tell in the picture.

Here's how the Claddagh ring is worn:
On the right hand, crown in heart out, the wearer is free as the birds in the sky. If you want her, go a courtin'.
On the right hand, crown out heart in, the lass is spoken for, so lay off.
On the left hand, place of choice, heart in crown out, she is happily married for evermore.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know what it was or anything about it.
