Large Set Jefferson just completed!!!plus check out the action

Hi Folks, I wanted to chime in on my latest accomplishment. As some of you may remember, thanks to a forum member I just completed my Jefferson Nickel basic set 1938-1964.--WELL HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS. I just got back grades from PCGS and one of the coins was the final coin I needed to complete my 1938-present Jefferson Nickel Basic Set Circ Strike non full step. This collection is my favorite and my first love. All the other Registry sets sprang out of this one. I am now the current #2 on that registry set and GUNNING for #1. The action I described in the title refers to the amount of new collections popping up on the Registry set for 1938-present. I admit this is a massive undertaking with 152 coins but what fun. The top five has had its share of spirited competition over the last year. Go ahead ond take a look and maybe give this exciting series a chance. --by the way I was dissapointed with the grades I got from PCGS with one exception. I recently bought a stunning 1966 Jefferson nickel from a tremendous local dealer(Bob Burick of Bob's Coins Etc.). Bob sets up at the local Greenhills Ohio ( a suburb of Cincinnati) show and always has nice stuff. Well he showed me this 1966 Jefferson and I had a hard time determining if it was a SMS or not. It even stumped a few of my expert friends. Well after paying Bob one dollar for the coin I took it home. I looked it over for a few weeks and then decided what the heck. I sent it in and waited. Well yesterday I got the email that my grades were in. The first coin on my list was the 1966 Jefferson ---the grade was ms 66!!!- that is a 19/0 coin. I was estatic. this coupled with the 1983 P( the last coin I needed to complete the series) made my day--by the way the 1983 P came back a disappointing ms 64 but who cares -- I will now start the search for an upgrade. --thanks again to everyone who helped me with this set. (full step jeffs, grandam, coinshunter, leothelyon, rayovac, marvin mitchell and many more--thanks again Don/mademan
