Would bombarding Axtell with rotten eggs and tomatoes be considered a sport?

I'm not encouraging such awful behavior - I just think it's a legitimate question for a topic of conversation. And this thread has nothing to do with the fact that he ripped Penn State image

  • Does it really matter. If you would enjoy it, why not? Hell, lots of people don't think Golf is a sport, but that doesn't stop me from playing it.

Just do your best, and whether you are very good at it or not, I'm sure you will have lots of fun, and will give you plenty of practice for next time.image

Hey now I didn't rip penn state, I just found it humorous I find penn state fans who have never shown up, now they are 4-0 and they're as mouthy as the FSU guys.

<<< Come on, you really think Minny is the 18th best team in the land?
And doofus? Are the Penn St. fans talking trash? When's the last time you were any good? 20 years ago?
Go back to under your rock. >>>

<<< Wow it's hillarious that 'fans' come out of nowhere when 'their' teams start to win.
First skip2mylou aka joe stalin, saying what huge FSU fans they are.
Now this penn st. clown. >>>

Above are Axtell's quotes from another thread.

Hey Axtell, don't worry about it...Penn State fans can handle your comments.

Anybody got some more eggs? I just ran out. Takes arm strength and dexterity to throw these dozens of eggs. Yes, I really think this is a sport.

    Wow testy fans!

I wasn't ripping Penn state, I was ripping those fans (and it wasn't you) that came out of nowhere to post how great they are. I simply had to remind him that it's been a long time since State's been a winning program, and not to let it get to his head.

No offense was meant by it (well, except to him), though if you'd like to be offended I can't tell you no.

Axtell - no big problem man...didn't you notice the image I'm just havin' some fun, bustin' chops - Philly style.

I'm in such a good mood right now with Penn State at 5 - 0, the Phillies in the last game of the season and still playing a meaningful game, and the Eagles doing well...that my girlfriend could tell me tonight that she's been having an affair with Ellen Degeneres and she's leaving me...and it wouldn't even bother me - LOL.

Steve, you have to gently ease them into the open forum mentality. It'll be another day or two before we can just come right out and tell them they suck without causing offendedness and hurt feelers. image

I've been to the open forum a few dozen times but I have to be in the mood for it.

I think I've expressed my 2nd Amendment views over at the open forum. Those who don't understand the 2nd amendment, don't properly understand history. One of my favorite quotations is from Santayana who said (paraphrase) "those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it." The 2nd amendment helps insure that governmental tyranny of the past is not repeated. Our Founding Fathers were a bunch of pretty smart guys!
