I had to go and see a ranch I'm insuring up in the town of Caliente, Calif. The route from my house to there (75 miles) follows the route of the old Butterfield Stagecoach from the late 1800's. I Didn't have a chance to get the detector out of the trunk since I was pressed for time to get back to see my son's soccer game. I did however, scout out some potential sites to hunt, assuming I am able to find out who the owner's of these properties are and then get their permission.

It is spread out over the entire length of the trip. The last few pics are about two miles from my home. It is the old Tropico Gold Mine. The whole site is barbed wire fenced and is owned by an absentee owner. They primarily rent it out to film companies who need a western ghost town look. All the buildings are original though and not built as sets.
Great pic's Desert Rat,man I hope you can get into those site's and make some cool find's.HH,Tom
