Are krause values off a bit? Someone said the 1/16th doubloom on the kause boom was worth 140 bucks but the dealer is selling it for 90, that cant be.

Wow! Go for the expensive one straight up....

The 2005 Macca's places it around AUD$22,000 ( US$16,500 )

The new catalogue is due out soon. It should reflect a slight drop for lower grades of this coin. At recent auctions only EF and better had any competition.

If memory serves me correctly, a 1930 Aussie penny in F (lot12221) went for $15K at Heritage Long Beach.

hmmm . . . I was offered a complete set, including the 1930, for $5000.

She already gave the go ahead. I went back to the show and told the dealer I'll buy it, he didn't have the set at the show. He hemmed and hawed, said he's tempted, but not sure if he wants to sell.

I think I called his bluff.

Well, I do hope you get the coins. The Pineapple Penny looks to be in high grade (notwithstanding the small amount of verdigris).

I like the Barbadoes penny.

I dunno if I would call that EF, personally, but it's close. I wouldn't be surprised to see it receive that grade in a TPG holder.
