Got this email today. Besides being partly in the wrong language, he didn't even disguise his Paypal link to look like it really came from paypal:

Yeah, pretty pathetic. At PDC earlier this month they were showing us some of the security stuff being put into IE7. Some really cool stuff that should have a major impact on the phishers.

Barry, that looks like a legitimate email from PayPal. If I were you I would immediately go to the linked page and fill out all requested information.

Here is the one I received in my mailbox today, from "Richard Czar", addressed to an email address that is not associated with my ebay account:

Dear eBay Member,

We regret to inform you that your eBay account could be suspended if you don't
re-update your account information.

To resolve this problem please visit the link below and re-enter your account
information:

http://www.SecureNet07.info/eBay/auth/PP090292753.php

If your problems could not be solved your account will be suspended for a period of
24 hours, after this period your account will be terminated.

For the User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily
suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our
services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal

using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account. Please note

I got a good one yesterday. It was a "Receipt for Your Payment" email from PayPal. It was close, but not great. There was a button to press if you dispute the charge. I actually logged in to PayPal to find out that I was NOT charged anything. Then I compared with a real PayPal Receipt mail and could see many differences. It was the first time I got one of those!
