PayPal Question!

How long ago did PayPal start allowing you to transfer funds from your CC to your account to generate a cash balance in it? Is this only good for a PayPal CC or can it be done with any CC?

  • I would check to make sure your credit card doesn't transfer it as a cash advance. The interest rate will kill you
Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.
  • I had no idea you could transfer funds from your CC to your account. Where did you see that written?

Actually its not my account. I was unintentionally snooping in my daughter's account and happened to see the transfers. I was not aware that transferring from a CC to your PayPal account was doable. Guess I was wrong. I will speak to her on the interest rate issue.

  • I don't see anything about it in the Add Funds tab.

Me either; she must have done it thru her CC company then. I will ask her.

Apparently the manner in which the CC option is used as a source of funds for PayPal payments is a double entry in which funds are first transferred to your PP account then used to pay the recipient so I guess there is still no option to transfer funds from your CC to your PP account for the purpose of generating a balance.
